In a startling turn of events, Mukesh Ambani, the esteemed Chairman of Reliance Industries, finds himself in the crosshairs of an extortionist’s ominous emails. This unnerving development marks the third such threat received by the industrialist within a mere four-day span, raising red flags for security forces and law enforcement agencies alike.
The ordeal began with the emergence of an unsettling threat, prompting the lodging of an FIR at Gamdevi police station. The complaint was filed by Ambani’s security in-charge after an initial threatening email arrived on a fateful Friday. The email, which demanded a substantial ₹20 crore, immediately sent shockwaves through the corporate world, as concerns swirled regarding the safety and security of Ambani and his vast business empire.
The situation took a disconcerting turn on the subsequent Saturday when another ominous email landed in the company’s inbox. This time, the extortionist upped the ante, demanding a staggering ₹200 crore. The escalation in threats sent alarm bells ringing louder and further underscored the urgency of the situation.

As if the situation wasn’t already dire, a third threat email arrived on a bleak Monday, doubling the financial demand to an unprecedented ₹400 crore. These brazen extortion attempts have left both the business community and law enforcement agencies deeply unsettled.
In response, the Mumbai police, in conjunction with their crime branch and cyber units, have embarked on a relentless quest to trace the sender of these alarming emails. Identifying and bringing the perpetrators to justice is now a top-tier priority for the authorities, as the safety of Mukesh Ambani and the integrity of India’s business environment hang in the balance.
This isn’t the first time that Mukesh Ambani and his family have been targeted by threats. In the previous year, the Mumbai police apprehended an individual from Bihar’s Darbhanga for issuing death threats to Ambani and his family members. Additionally, the accused had even made ominous threats to bomb the Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. These incidents underscore the imperative need for robust action against those involved in such criminal activities.
As investigations into these threats persist, the security and well-being of Mukesh Ambani take center stage, reaffirming the critical importance of maintaining a secure business environment in India. The authorities are resolute in their determination to apprehend the culprits and send a resounding message that threats and extortion will not be tolerated within the nation’s corporate landscape.
